Howard Johnson® Oceanfront Plaza

Nice people at reception desk, great ocean front king room. Room cleaned very well each day and done before noon which is especially nice. Parking garage is nice too.. channels on TV could be better selection. Company bed with lots of pillows.

This was our 8th stay at this property. The staff is friendly and the general manager Ashley is the BEST!!! The rooms are always clean and it is conveniently located in the heart of everything.. The views are great and the atmosphere is wonderful. I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a place to stay.

Lets face it, the worst part of travelling and overnighting is the apprehension one endures when staying in a hotel ANYWHERE but especially in a popular resort location where rooms are typically rented out nightly and they normally show the wear. NOT HERE! for 3 years now we have stayed at HO-JO Plaza 12th street, and never have we had any drama at all. The entire management and support staff greet you with a smile and a pleasent word. They take care of their duties, and their customers and are genuine in their concern for taking care of your needs.
The rooms are always spotless and fresh, the beds comfortable, and oh yeah, we are seniors on a budget, so the price has to be right! We go mid week to avoid the crowds and the associated higher room prices, but staying mid week might even lead to a “meal deal” package …if you ask. By the way, the girls at the reception desk are always AWESOME!

I had a great time enjoying my stay at the hotel. The room was very clean and inviting. Most of my time was spent relaxing watching TV but my daughter spent her time in the pool and loved it! I certainly plan on going back real soon. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating.

Picked this hotel for a quick overnight visit while in the area shopping. Could not have been happier with the stay. For a boardwalk oceanfront hotel it was very clean and smelled fresh. The room seemed like it was recently remodeled. When in the area again I would definitely consider staying here again.

Traveling for the holiday & needed a stop over. Very familiar with oc but not our usual place to stay. Extremely great offer so we decided to stay. Great location and amazing view. Older building but very pleased with renovations. Beautiful lobby with very friendly staff. Room very clean. Bathroom small but nicely updated. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will stay again.

I did a booking through booking.com. When I booked my room I asked for an ocean view room; however when I checked in I was given a non ocean view because that is the way booking.com sent the confirmation to the hotel. When I went to my non ocean view room I was disappointed, I went to the desk and the front desk agents were very kind and changed my room to an upper floor and on the end so I could see not only the the ocean but the bay as well. Thank you to the two agents on duty at the time of my check in.

My sister and I recently stayed at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel and we had a wonderful time. The staff was so welcoming and made us feel at home. Our room was clean and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. The parking was convenient and we loved the location on the boardwalk. We will definitely come to stay again! Thank you!!

We started staying at this hotel when my son was 4 years old. He is now 12 and although we have outgrown this hotel to stay for our annual week vacation to OCMD, we still stay here on short weekend trips. OCMD is like our second home so when we decided to get married May 12,2017, there was no hesitation to stay at the Howard Johnson on 12th street and get married on the beach. The weather however had a different plans for us but Mary Susan and her staff at the Howard Johnson made sure our special day was taken care of. We were able to hold our wedding in the meeting room of the hotel instead of making our guests endure the cold, rainy and windy weather outside on the beach! Mary Susan and her staff have always gone above and beyond to take care of us when we stay there. They are always warm and welcoming as well. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting OCMD!

We booked thru booking.com; thought we were getting ocean front. When we got here we were given a side view room. Sharon at the front desk changed our room and gave us oceanfront right away. We had a clean room with a view. We will return.

10th year at the Howard Johnson Oceanfront Plaza. Fantastic, as always. Thanks to Mary Susan and the entire staff! Might have to make it up there twice this year we ablways enjoy it so much!

My family and visited this hotel this past weekend for Mother’s Day. I could not believe the customer service that we received remarkable moving forward whenever visit ocean city this will be my home away from home. We had 2 beds and a couch that let into a bed everything we needed was in the room, staff was so nice CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK AWESOME GREAT JOB HOWARD JOHNSON.
